Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC302

I decided to play along with the Monday Lunchtime sketch over at Techno Stamper.  I managed to create this card in under 10 minutes.  I used the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the SAB catalog as the focal point on my card.  I used the Circle Collections FrameLits to cut out the flower from one side of the DSP and also to cut out the Basic Black Circle to layer to the flower.  I cut out a strip of Basic Black and ran that through the Bigshot with the Decorative Dots embossing Folder.  I cut out a layer of the DSP and Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock to layer at the bottom and a layer of Coastal Cabana for the top.  i then popped the layered flower up on dimensionals and added the pearls to the center.  I really love how it turned out!

Just Sayin' Hearts Card

I saw a post of a card similar to the one I created ( I can't remember where or I would give the credit to them) and just had to try my hand at it.  I changed it just alittle but I love how it turned out and it didn't take all that long to make.  I cut my basic Gray Cardstock as the base and cut the Very Vanilla Cardstock to layer on top of the base.  I, then, layered the Very Vanilla Cardstock on my Magnetic Platform with the Heart FrameLit along each edge and ran it through the Bigshot.  I then ran the Very Vanilla through the Bigshot using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder from the SAB catalog and tied the retired 'retired' Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Edge Polka Dot Ribbon and glued the Very Vanilla to the Basic Gray.  I used the Just Sayin' Stamp Set and the Stampin' Chalk Marker the color the stamp and put that on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and used the heart FrameLit to cut the words out.  I popped these heart words up with a Stampin Dimensional.

Very Vanilla cardstock
Cherry Cobbler cardstock
Stampin' Chalk Marker

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday and we have another great sketch by Jennifer Kay.

My card for this week was one of my first attempts at water coloring.  I have never been very successful at this technique so I guess that means I need to practice at it.  If you have some pointers for me, feel free to leave me a comment.  I would love to have them!

I used some embossing folders to give it some texture and add some ribbon.  I didn't realize that my ribbon was retired, so I apologize for that. But I kind of like the overall outcome of the card.  What do you think?

Fabric Tool Caddy

I had some fun with a stash of fabric that I had left over.  I got this tutorial from Stamping T at http://stampingt.com.au/blog/?download=foldable-tool-caddy.

I added some of the chipboard stuff that came in the kits that we receive at Stampin" Up! events because I wanted mine to stand up on it on and not fold.  I think it turned out lovely.

This first picture shows the sides of the caddy and all of the compartments to hold different tools.

This second picture shows the top and how much you can stuff into the center compartment.

Plus don't you love that the tools and adhesive are all in arms reach!  No more searching for what you need.

Stampin" Supplies Needed to make this....

Large Square Scallop Die
Ribbon

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday and we have another great sketch.

My card goes right along with the winter storm that hit Georgia this week. We have enjoyed all the snow, and I am sure the kids have enjoyed the last 4 days out of school.

I hope you can tell that I heat embossed the snowflakes with iridescent ice embossing powder. It gives it that glittery shine that I love!

New Sketch Challenge - CAS001

I have decided to start a new sketch challenge for Creative Apple Scrampers (CAS).  I will issue a new sketch here every other Thursday.  At the end of the 2 weeks, I will choose my top 5 picks from the sample links and post them on my blog.  My challenge is alittle different.  I want to use the same colors and stamp set for all the sketches.  This will really give our customers a good look at the different ways we can use one stamp set.

So, here goes the first sketch......
